Castle of Warmia Chapter
This is the place where Nicolaus Copernicus lived and worked from 1516 to 1519. In one of the Castle's cloisters there are preserved remains of a wall drawing, made by the astronomer, showing observations of the motion of the Sun. Near the Castle there is a bronze statue of the famous astronomer sitting in his favourite spot. It is said this is the place where he used to stop during his daily walk to the Cathedral. The castle tower offers a beautiful view of the city skyline.
